Fa La La La Shoes That Fit
I never thought I'd ever run in my life but I'm really enjoying it! Don't knock it until you try it. I've just started running as an honoree for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's triathalon team. Sounds like a good thing but I've never ran before. How the hell am I supposed to do this?
I knew that LLS have awesome coaches and mentors that help you along the way based on my previous experience with Team in Training (see below). On my very first run ever early in the morning on Dec 8, my left ankle started bothering me. The head coach recommended that I get a good pair of running shoes to support my feet (and sequentially, my legs and ankles too) as they pound the pavement. Makes sense to me. On my next run (after getting good running shoes), my ankle never bothered me!
In short, no matter what you're doing--running or shopping all day for the holidays--wear shoes that work well with your feet.
BTW, that's me in 2002 participating in Lake Tahoe in "America's Most Beautiful" Century Ride"
